President Samia Suluhu Hassan has said in his performance he does not care about ethnicity, but what he cares about is the work one does.
President Samia Suluhu Hassan made the statement at the State House in Chamwino, Dodoma Region during the swearing-in ceremony of various newly appointed leaders.
He said those who think he is working to appoint leaders based on their background or ethnicity, should dispel this misconception.
President Samia Suluhu Hassan has insisted that what he is doing is appointing a Leader from any area or tribe when he sees someone suitable and he has also been dismissing it based on what he has done wrong to the leader and not otherwise.
Leaders who were sworn in today at the ceremony included Sofia Mjema who was sworn in as Shinyanga governor and Judge Omar Othman Makungu who was sworn in as a Judge of the Court of Appeal in Tanzania.
Another sworn in by President Samia Suluhu Hassan is Judge Mustapha Siyani who has been sworn in as the Chief Justice.
The ceremony was attended by various Leaders including Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Tulia Ackson and the Chief Justice of Tanzania Professor Ibrahim Juma.
