Over two thousand years ago, the Philosopher Seneca wrote; The problem of time is not that we have a shortage of them, but we have a lot of time until we decide to lose it.
He continued to explain through his essay he called On The Shortness of Life; Muibie someone money or belonging and will fight you until you return you where you have poured out, but you will be able to take time and will not bother you to protect, he will leave you to die.
Further insisted by saying; We have a shortage and things that we can find again, but we are scattered as that when the lost will not return again.
SENECA
My friend, those words were written over two thousand years ago, at a time when there was no tv, no computer or instagram. But look at the life we live now, you can imagine Seneca is with us now, watching us as we move from wasap, to faebook, then to instagram before ending on tv. Then right there we complain we don't have time to read books, we don't have time to start or grow a business to increase our income.
Seneca wrote many years ago, but to this day we repeat the same mistakes, waste our time carelessly, and then complain we have no time.
Friend, today I want to be open with you, because I am tired of hearing people complain that they do not have time. And I do not invent anything new, I just show you how Seneca was right two thousand years ago.
What I want to tell you clearly is that if you say you have no time, you are a decade old. It's not that you don't have time, but you waste your time. Yes you start the day and end it when you are tired, you don't even get time to rest, but what do you produce? If you evaluate how you are living your day, you will see how much of your time is wasted on trivial matters.
So start by telling yourself this; I spend most of my time on the wrong things. They say that knowing the problem is half the solution.
You have been struggling with time all your life because you do not know the problem, the problem is not the time is short, the problem is you are wasting time.
To prove that you are really wasting time, take a pen and paper and do this exercise. Divide your paper into two halves.
On one side write down the dreams and goals you want to achieve. On the other hand, list all the things you did during the past week. Everything you did, whether you watched tv, logged on instagram, argued with others, list.
Then draw a line from what you did to the goal that helped you achieve it. That is, for everything you do, align with the goal side, it has helped you achieve what goal or dream.
Then you will see for yourself how many things you did did not contribute to you achieving your goals, and so you wasted that time.
Accept the rejection, you are wasting too much time, the time you could have saved and used it well, you would have done too much. You would start and grow a business that you have been thinking about for a long time now.
You would write a book that you tell yourself you will write. You would have better relationships with those closest to you.
But you don't have those things and you don't have time! What a joke?
STEPS TO TAKE.
Today I give you two big steps to take my friend, so you don’t complain anymore that you don’t have time.
The first step is to make the assessment I shared with you and each time you start your day, list the goals and big dreams you are working on, then list the things you are going to do on that day to get to those dreams and goals.
Then in your day do just what you have planned. Based on the assessment you made, there are things you will have seen you do on a regular basis and they do not contribute, tell yourself clearly that you will not do those things again.
