Parliamentarians in Kenya are expected to start accessing 'massage' services in parliament buildings if a report submitted by the Equipment Services Committee Needed to Parliament is approved.
The committee said the proposal was aimed at improving the health of lawmakers due to the difficult times they make when legislating.
Apart from that, it also wants the health facility in parliament to be renovated in accordance with the Ministry of Health's rules to prevent coronary heart disease.
The committee, chaired by Nyaribari Masaba MP Ezekiel Machogu, said the center should also be expanded to accommodate dressing rooms, barber shops and hairdressers.
"The men's unit should be expanded to accommodate the delivery rooms and gymnastics," the report read.
The committee also wants the women's unit to have nail care and hairdressing services.
Employees of the health facility will be given a five-year contract with the possibility of extension depending on performance if the report is approved.
