Survival Hospital is a modern private healthcare facility operating under NSG Co. Ltd, located in Kyerwa District, Kagera Region. Established in August 2024, the hospital offers comprehensive medical services including Pharmacy, Laboratory, Maternity, Theatre, RCH, Emergency, Radiology, Neonatal Care, and In-patient Wards. We are currently looking for self-motivated and compassionate Assistant Nursing Officers to join our dedicated team.
🔍 Position Overview
Reporting to the Nurse In-Charge and Human Resource Officer, the Assistant Nursing Officer will support all clinical and quality care activities within the nursing unit, ensuring high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
🩺 Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care and assist in patient recovery
- Assist clients and families with patient care and rehabilitation processes
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate inventory and drug records, monitor expiry dates
- Plan and participate in ward rounds and follow-up actions
- Maintain patient and staff records and oversee staff leave schedules
- Participate in nursing research and mentorship of junior staff
- Keep abreast of new practices and participate in continuous training
- Promote a culture of compassion, professionalism, and integrity
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors
📚 Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
- Valid registration with Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council (TNMC)
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- At least 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in maternity/labor units
- Strong patient interaction, decision-making, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a dynamic hospital setting
💻 Additional Skills
- Familiarity with JCIA or other healthcare quality standards
- Good command of hospital management software and documentation tools
- High level of integrity, punctuality, and commitment to teamwork
