📌 Role Purpose

The Senior Manager, ACCM and Gender will lead Save the Children's Advocacy, Campaigns, Communications, Media (ACCM) and Gender strategies across all thematic areas. This includes advancing policy positions, coordinating national-level advocacy, and ensuring gender integration in programming and resource mobilization.

This is a strategic leadership role aimed at driving systemic change in awareness, behaviors, and policies related to child rights and gender equity in Tanzania.


🛠 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of advocacy, campaigns, communications, and gender strategies
  • Guide policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and influencing initiatives at the national and international levels
  • Provide technical leadership on gender mainstreaming across programs and proposals
  • Collaborate with thematic leads to ensure child rights are prioritized in government and donor policies
  • Coordinate national-level campaigns and ensure alignment with global Save the Children initiatives
  • Monitor and report on the impact of ACCM and gender-related interventions


🎓 Qualifications & Experience

✅ A Master’s or advanced degree in International Development, Gender Studies, Public Policy, Communications, or related field
✅ Extensive experience (minimum 7 years) in advocacy, campaigns, policy development, or gender integration
✅ Demonstrated success in influencing public policy and leading national-level strategies
✅ Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and representation skills
✅ Experience working with government, civil society, media, and international partners
