👷♂️ Position: Technician – Heavy Equipment and Machinery (11 Posts)
🎓 Minimum Requirements:
✅ Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field
✅ Trade Test Certification (Grade I or Level III) in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Equipment Maintenance
✅ Certification in hydraulics and heavy equipment systems (added advantage)
✅ Minimum 3 years of experience with haulage tractors, agricultural tractors, trucks, and diesel-powered machinery
✅ Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety laws
✅ Class E driving license (preferred)
🔧 Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of HVAC systems in heavy equipment
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines, turbochargers, fuel/exhaust systems, and cooling systems
- Understanding of CAN-bus systems, automation, and electronic sensors
- Compliance with safety standards, fire prevention, and first aid procedures
🧠 Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and time management
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and willing to work overtime and in remote areas if needed
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the fleet efficiently by ordering and managing spare parts
- Maximize fleet uptime and reduce downtime
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per manufacturer recommendations
